In this beginner-level class, students will be introduced to the basic sewing techniques including pattern cutting, using a sewing machine and basic seam. You'll walk away with your very own tote bag! Hosted by Sarah Collen of The Troy Sew Shop. Ages 16+

This beginner-level class covers basic sewing techniques including pattern cutting, using a sewing machine and sewing basic seams. Participants will assemble their own tote bag to take home! This class serves as an introduction to using the sewing machines available here at the CoG, as well as being an introductory course for sewing in general. Participants may bring their own sewing machine if preferred.

No previous sewing experience is necessary. We do have fabric available for your use, but supply is limited. Feel free to bring your own fabric to the class if you want a particular color or pattern for your tote. All other materials provided. 2-2.5 hours.
